How many time do we spend on the phone? And how long is it healthy to be on the phone? Are we suffering from nomophobia or phubbing? A lot of questions came to mind when designing this app to acknowledge the amount of time we use our phone.
Following the Design Thinking methodology, I did a research to educate myself on this topic in order to know more about it. Then, surveyed potential users about these issues to know what they think and feel about them. Through user’s stories and a MoSCoW chart, I turned necessities into functionalities, and state the MVP.
With a flow chart, I established Tiphon as a three layers depth platform. The visual design consists on a dark background, based on the so-called dark mode of Material Design, because when speaking of digital well-being and telephone use, the dark mode allows reducing eyestrain considerably and offers energy savings.
